Founded in January 2000, this writing group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month in the Holland Park Library, 81 Seville Road, from 10 am until 1 pm. What sets this group apart from other writing groups is its open approach to diverse genres and its cooperative meeting procedures.

Allsorts of Allshorts


The Carindale Writers' Group's latest publication, Allsorts of Allshorts is a collection of short stories covering every genre from satire and humour to thrillers and nostalgic dramas.  The authors, either established or making their debuts, have contributed some of their best works making it a treat to read, containing something for all tastes.

Their previous publication, Leap In Time is an imaginative collection of short stories and poetry.  Written by sixteen emerging Queensland writers who are members of the CWG, it represents a wide range of genres and styles from magical realism to biography - a rich tapestry covering our social fabric - past, present and future.

The Carindale Writers' Group first self published in 2003. 
Collections 2003, was an eBook consisting of Australiana, recollections, and short stories including some for children.  The e-book was sold through local bookstores and is still available in Brisbane public libraries and the Queensland State Library.
