2017 - Our Main Event
In August 2017 some of our group took part in the Write a Book in a Day Competition. After a 12 hour intensive session we completed our entry, 'Fuzzy's Big Day Out'.
The Write a Book in a Day Competition has contributed $431,000 towards childhood cancer research since 2009 through The Kids' Cancer Project. The books written for this competition are distributed to children undergoing treatment in hospitals all over Australia.
Carindale Writers Group won the Open Division category for 'Best Sponsorship' for the amount we raised for this worthwhile charity.
